I was tired and drowsy once I reached home. While having my dinner, I had to ensure that I was not too full as it would not disrupt my sleep. I will always remember yesterday's swimming training.
Yesterday's training was not at the usual standard. For the first forty-five minutes, we did drills as it purpose was to better our strokes. Next, we did System 1, which is endurance swim. I had to swim ten laps in ten minutes and thirty seconds for four sets. For every set, I felt my arms going more flaccid and my breathe intake reducing by each second. After System 1, it was System 2. System 2 is mainly about sprinting. To me, I prefer sprinting to endurance swim as sprinting has longer intervals for resting.
After the strenuous two hours of training, I collapsed into the car and drifted into sleep almost immediately. Once I reached home, I had to trudged out of the car.
The next morning, I was having a bad muscle ache on my shoulders and thighs. I regretted for not listening to my coach's advice and this was the result I had gotten to. I was furious for being lazy. Now, I fully comprehend this proverb, “You reap what you sow”.
