A perfect decision

18 January 2008
Yesterday was yet another strenuous yet enriching training for me. It was a Friday and NCC Land often conducts its training on this day.

Drills were inevitable in training. It has its own advantages and disadvantages. It helps us to be discipline and alert at all times. However, one mistake is enough to earn the platoon push-ups. Yesterday’s situation was exactly depicted.

Mr. Munir is in charge of our platoon. After drills, he brought us to run around the school. In order for the whole platoon to bond together, he wanted us to run in an orderly manner. Our steps have to be coordinated and we had to shout throughout the run repeating this phrase, “Left, right, left, right…” This can increase our stamina as shouting will disrupt our breathing and soon it will not be a problem. In addition, it bonds us together and this is valuable as is not easily obtained. Soon, we had physical training. The main objective is to strengthen one’s endurance, physical health and mental strength.

Despite hardship and bitterness obscuring our goal to become a unified platoon, we are still confident and no difficulties can tear us apart. NCC Land is a perfect choice.
